The Story Begins in 1396

For over 600 years, the Karalashvili family has dedicated themselves to preserving Georgia’s ancient winemaking traditions. Recognized for their mastery, we were honored by King George VII, granted noble status "Prince", and entrusted with safeguarding the art of qvevri winemaking.

Seven generations later, we continue this legacy—crafting wines in the same hand-crafted clay vessels buried deep in the earth, just as our ancestors did. Every bottle carries not just our name, but centuries of heritage, passion, and the soul of Georgian wine.

The Qvevri Experience

For 8,000 years, Georgians have entrusted their finest wines to qvevris, handcrafted clay vessels buried beneath the earth. At Karalashvili 1396, this is more than a tradition; it’s our family’s legacy. For over 600 years, through 7 generations, we have perfected the art of time, patience, and nature working in harmony. Every bottle we craft is not just wine—it is history, nurtured underground and brought to life for those who seek something truly rare.
